Put on a Great Show at a Great Price One of the little-known secrets of the comedy business is that professional comedians -- for many reasons -- tend to charge a different price for every show. If you're thinking about trying a comedy night in your supper club or tavern, or if you're hoping to put on a show at a company party but have a small budget, you'd be astonished at the level of the talent that can be available at reasonable prices. There are limitations, of course. If you're looking for a clean, clever, and very funny comedian for the first Saturday in the December holiday season, forget about it. But if you just want to put on a nightclub-style show, and you wish you could hire the same acts that appear at the major comedy clubs, you'll be surprised at how easy and how relatively inexpensive it can be.
